Become a Better Cook: Write on Your Recipes

Write On Your Recipes- Margaux Drake

We were all taught at an early age that we shouldn’t write in books, but if they are your property I’m giving you full permission to go ahead and do it, write on your recipes. Become a plant based writer. Write in your own books

Cookbooks, handwritten or printouts of recipes, write notes on them. Why? Because you’ll only get better and more efficient the next time you make that particular recipe. Note who in your family liked it or didn’t. Would you use another ingredient the next time? Was it too spicy or too mild? Did your oven take longer to cook it? If you made a double batch, what meal can you whip up the next night with the extra? Write it down.

Your recipes will evolve into what you and your family like best over time, you’ll keep improving in the kitchen and you’ll make those recipes your own.
