Ahhh, the excitement of digging through architectural salvage! We make regular trips to Kalamazoo, MI to do just that at The Heritage Company and have returned home with everything from a pair of gargoyles, to the perfect brass door stop. If you have an older home and need spare parts or if you would like to add a touch of character to a newer home, The Heritage Company is the place to go.
Owner, Roger Parzyck, with the help of his daughter, has been collecting and selling architectural antiques since 1986. They can help you find just about anything.
Inventory is constantly changing but following is a list of what you might find in their 17,000 sq. ft. store: Doors, lighting, windows, hardware, plumbing fixtures and fittings including clawfoot bathtubs, shutters, millwork, floor and wall registers, garden architecture and accessories, and much much more.
For your next home project, consider using repurposed architectural salvage. It’s usually higher quality, more economical and totally unique. Plus, the treasure hunt is a whole lot of fun!

What a wonderful place! Thank you for this enlightening post. I have never heard of this in K-zoo but will make it a point to visit as I love the “old” and “forgotten” items of the past!!
