Starting Today, Valentine’s Day, Give Yourself a Little LOVE

Throughout the month of December I was living off a diet of tea and anything chocolate while taking care of everything and everyone but me. Such is life as a mom during the holiday season, right? Well, that program took its toll on my body and made me feel like complete crap!

In January I resolved to give myself a little LOVE. I started many healthy practices but one of the simplest, cheapest and easiest things that I did was to get back into the rhythm of drinking purified water, about 2 liters a day.

The human body is a machine. Blood flows a whole lot better when the body is properly hydrated and this makes the machine run smoothly. When working in a blood lab (in a previous life) I actually felt sludgy slimy blood between my fingers and read the chart of the blood’s owner (Yikes, a health disaster!). All these years later, that experience is still a crystal clear reminder that blood quality is directly related to health and quality of life. Six weeks of drinking water regularly and I’m feeling great!
