Mummy Dogs

Mummy Dogs
1 Can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
10 Healthy hot dogs (or Tofu Pups)
Olive oil
Mustard and/or ketchup
-Heat oven to 375*F. Unroll dough and separate to create 4 rectangles, smooth perforations (using a bit of water if necessary) on each rectangle. Work with one rectangle of dough at a time and refrigerate others while not using. With a knife, cut each rectangle lengthwise into approximately 10 pieces or “bandages”.
-Wrap the dogs with dough to create the mummies, leaving room for a face. Lay mummies to rest on an ungreased cookie sheet. *Kids will love to help wrap a few!
-Brush bandages lightly with olive oil.
-Bake 13-17 minutes until mummies look golden brown.
-With mustard or ketchup bring your mummy to life by drawing a face. *Totally fun, kids really LOVE this part!
**Can be made ahead of time and kept in refrigerator until ready to bake.
The few hours before our kids go Trick-or-Treating are always totally insane. This is a fast, super easy and fun way to get some solid food into their bellies before they run out the door on Halloween night. Hope your kids enjoy these little mummies too!
***Based on a recipe I found on line years ago at Pillsbury.com. (No idea how I found it, as Pillsbury.com is not a site I frequent!:)
