|Tricks for Peeling and Mincing Garlic

Fresh garlic adds great flavor to any food, but it can be a pain to prepare. Check out a simple tip for peeling and preparing garlic by clicking play on the video below: (30 seconds)
Chop the root end off of each clove. Using the heel of your hand on the flat side of the knife, press down firmly. Remove the skin from the crushed clove. Place your peeled cloves together on a cutting board. Using a rocking motion, run your blade back and forth over the cloves until you reach your desired consistency.
Raw garlic can be sticky, so you may have to wipe your blade as you work!
