St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Smoothie for WOTV 4 Women

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Smoothie
for WOTV 4 Women
For a healthier St. Patrick’s Day, take a detour from the drive-through into the produce department to whip up your own healthy Shamrock Smoothie.
A few weeks ago, I overheard someone saying that they were taking their kids you-know-where for an annual Shamrock shake. I thought “NOOOOOOO!”. Let’s not feed our kids mono- and diglycerides (just sneaky names for trans fats), a few different doses of high fructose corn syrup, yellow 5 and blue 1 among other unhealthy ingredients and what the heck is “whipping propellant” anyway? None of these ingredients could be found growing in the garden. We can do better than that for our kids!
I went directly into my kitchen and started whipping up plants in my blender, in all different combinations, until I came up with a flavor and texture suitable to bear the name: Shamrock Smoothie. If this recipe redirects just one person from the drive-through and into the produce department, I will consider my mission successly accomplished.
It’s your LUCKY DAY,
because all you have to do to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
(ok, it’s really just the recipe).
